Pros and cons of Navigation Rules app for iPhone and iPad

Navigation Rules app good for

Non-US, Be careful on the quick reference to not be fooled by the "inland rules". Should have an option to turn-off inland rules for foreing users. Other than that, very nice app. Very useful!!
Easy to use and complete. Beats the heck out of flipping through webpages!
Excellent for a licensed mariner who wishes to literally have the rules of the road at their fingertips. VERY HANDY!
A great pocket reference for the licensed mariner or pleasure boater. Nicely made app and easy to navigate.
Very useful for either initial learning of the rules or for review of the rules in order to stay fresh...also recommend Signals International...
Excellent reference to have to occasionally review a rule when needed. As an USCG Auxiliary Coxswain is great to have with me at all times, knowing that it is always up to date.

Some bad moments

If you dont mind paying for a app that only really gives you a metric conversion calculator. If you want the col regs. Google col regs. Copy and past them for free. Buy a documents app ( that is fantastic ) and copy it in there. Your outlay is $.99. There is no visual illustrations and is misleading in the app description.
Terrible. All its useful for are the Colregs which I could have gotten a PDF file of if thats all I wanted. Not what they advertised and I feel cheated.
